Hillarys Boat Harbour is only 25 minutes from Perth’s CBD and is accessible by car, boat, bus, bike and even helicopter!

Walking trails

Three fun walking trails have been created, each showcasing different attractions around the Harbour. Simply download the trail map and follow the colour coded stainless steel markers along each trail emblazoned with the Harbour’s mascot, Pearl the Weedy Sea Dragon.

Boating

The Harbour accommodates yachts and small boats as well as providing a full range of boating services including fuel, launching ramps, pens, servicing and chandlery.

Accessibility

The Harbour has been developed to be accessible to all – providing some unique facilities to cater for people with disabilities, including a universal access floating pontoon, fishing platform, beach access pathway, a beach wheelchair, accessible barbeque facilities, drinking fountains and hotel rooms specifically tailored for people with limited mobility.

Beach access

A permanent pathway constructed of special beach matting allows people with limited mobility to directly access the water at our swimming cove.

Beach wheelchair hire

A free beach wheelchair is available to hire from the City of Joondalup. Book via the City’s Facilities Booking Office: 9:30am to 5pm Mon–Fri and limited times on the weekend. The key can be collected from the City’s bookings office and the wheelchair is located at the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club building in the Harbour.

Accessible fishing platform

Located at the northern end of the Harbor beyond Hillarys Yacht Club, this accessible fishing platform is designed for people with limited mobility.

Universal access floating pontoon 

Allows people with limited mobility to easily board and disembark from vessels.
