Terms & Conditions – The Waterfront Treasure Hunt competition

  1. This competition is being run by the WA Department of Transport (DoT).
  2. The competition is open to residents of Australia of all ages. Those under the age of 18 years old will require adult supervision when they play.
  3. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her/their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  4. Closing date for entry will be 6.00PM on Sunday, 18 April 2021. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted..
  5. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  6. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows: 
To enter, you must complete the entry form including your name, email address and post code and agree to subscribe to our e-newsletter to receive future updates on promotions, offers and exciting news and events happening at Hillarys Boat Harbour.
  7. DoT is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  8. The prize is as follows:
    • Overnight stay in a double room at Hillary Harbour Resort.
    • $400 to spend at any Hillarys Boardwalk business.
    • $100 food and beverage voucher at Hillarys Yacht Club.
    • Family annual membership at AQWA.
  9. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Redeem by dates may be stipulated by the various individual prize-givers/businesses at Hillarys Boat Harbour.
  10. The winner will be chosen at random from all entries received by an independent person to be nominated by DoT, on Wednesday, 21 April 2021 during business hours, and verified by the Director Maritime Planning, DoT.
  11. DoT will contact the winner as soon as possible after their entry is chosen using the contact details specified on their entry. The winner’s name will be published on the HBH Facebook and Instagram pages within five (5) business days afterwards. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within seven (7) days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  12. The winner agrees to the use of his/her/their name and image, and images of others partaking in the prize in any publicity material.
  13. The winner agrees to record photos and videos of his/her/their experiences during the weekend for potential use in publicity material – e.g. on Hillarys Boat Harbour Facebook and Instagram pages, HBH website, DoT and participating businesses’ communications channels.
  14. DoT’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  15. The “Games Controller” for this competition is Total Team Building / Scavenger Hunts Australia.
  16. A “Task” is a challenge which the team will complete to achieve points. The game has been set to auto score which means you will be allocated full points for photo/video “Tasks” you submit. These “Tasks” will be reviewed by the “Games Controller” and points will be removed or deducted if you have not met the brief or have submitted incorrect content for the “Task”. The “Games Controller “ also has the ability of awarding bonus points at its discretion.
  17. All teams & entrants shall indemnify DoT and Total Team Building/Scavenger Hunts Australia from all claims, costs, losses (whether direct or indirect) including any interest, injury or death, penalties, legal and other professional fees and expenses awarded against or incurred by the team or entrant as a result of their involvement in the activity.
